Be The Light
Brought together by faith, St. Mary’s School is a Franciscan family welcoming and inspiring all to love, live, learn, and serve as Christ taught us.
We believe that our Catholic faith is best celebrated in community and in partnership with one another. This partnership empowers cooperation between faculty, staff, students, parents, parish staff and parishioners
- Christ Centered – inspire academic success through quality teaching for learning and faith first.
Celebrate Culture – The school will educate and celebrate differences in culture, ethnicity, and learning styles of all children
St. Mary’s Family – Emphasis on peace and justice will permeate the relationships between children, staff and parents
If you prefer to study in your own time and at your own speed then one of our e-learning packages may be right up your street.

St. Marys is more than a small school rooted in family traditions. It’s full of hard-working families willing to make sacrifices so that their children have the best Catholic education. Our family has valued the many benefits of Catholic education for 4 generations right here in Bloomington and we thank god every day for this school and its staffMelissa Teagarden

St. Mary’s is a special place. It’s more than just a school, it’s a family. The St. Mary’s faculty and staff care about me and my kids, as people, not just staff and students. Parents participate in school events and are active around the school. We’ve been active at the school for over 10 years and are still very happy with our choice.

My eleven years at St. Mary’s School were some of the best years of my life. I learned many skills that you would not learn at any other school. My favorite was learning how to serve by helping others. St. Mary’s is a place where I felt safe to be me and that helped me to excel in academics and athletics. I am currently at Central Catholic High School and I thank my teachers at St. Mary’s for preparing me for high school.

St. Mary’s is my heart’s home. It is a place that centers me. The people of St. Mary’s have a heart for service and to help those in need. I love to share my faith and pray with the children in my classroom and on the volleyball court. Weaving the teachings of the Catholic Church throughout our day at St. Mary’s focuses me on my faith and helps me to be better. I can’t think of a better place to spend my time than with St. Mary’s faculty and children!

There are many reasons why we love St. Mary’s School. From the minute we came to an informational meeting about our child going to St. Mary’s we have felt welcomed. Then when we walked in on the first day of school it has felt like home, and we’ve never looked back. The most important thing to us is that the staff is always friendly, helpful & caring, they go above and beyond for each child. It has become our community & home away from home!
