Principal’s Home Page

I have always been drawn to the art of teaching and being around kids. My favorite part of the day is inspiring and encouraging our St. Mary’s Crusaders to be the best they can be in and out of the classroom!

After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Illinois State University. I taught one year at Tremont High School. I didn’t feel at home and decided to look for a different teaching position. I found my home and that was at St. Mary’s School. In 2001, I began teaching Kindergarten through 8th grade technology and junior high math classes. After teaching for 10 years, I decided I needed a challenge. I applied to the Educational Administration and Foundations P-12 program at Illinois State University. I graduated in 2015 with my Master’s degree in Educational Administration. I took the principal position at St. Mary’s School and there is no other place I would rather be! I love the action on Jackson! I am amazed on a daily basis with our students, teachers, and families. I am truly blessed to find my home at St. Mary’s School.
