St. Mary's Basketball Teams are open to all 4th - 8th Grade students. Teams are broken down into Boys and Girls. Players will grow and learn more than just basketball skills as they practice and play games during their season. As they are learning ball-handling skills, dribbling, and shooting skills, they will also learn about self-esteem, teamwork, and the value of hard work.

Athletic Service Hours

All families with a student participating in any athletic activity is required to complete 20 hours of service to athletics; this is in addition to the 20 hours that each family needs to complete for the school.  Service hours can be performed by someone other than the parents/guardians (older siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles....) you just need to turn them in to have them count.  We do track hours through sign-up genius and will post a running total periodically.  Jr. high students can work concessions as long as there is an adult present, they cannot pop popcorn as there is the possibility of being burnt. Basketball season offers the most opportunities to obtain service hours PLUS so if you have a student that cheers, plays volleyball or participates in track/field consider volunteering at home basketball games so that you will have more free time to watch your student athlete during their competitions.
